Bisi bele bath powder | Bisi bele bath pudi

Bisi bele bath - the national dish of Karnataka - is a steam concoction of rice, veggies, and some mystery masala. Here I throw open the secret! Slurp at your leisure...!
Ingredients:

Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 3 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon sticks - 2 small pieces
Cloves - 3
Guntur red chilli - 7
Byadagi red chilli - 4 (optional)

Method:

Heat oil in a pan, add all the ingredients and roast until they turn golden brown.
Allow the mixture to cool. Grind them in a mixie to a coarse powder. Store it in an air tight container.
Note:
I have already mentioned about byadagi red chillies in my kempu chutney recipe.
Instead of byadagi red chillies, you can use kashmere red chillies.
One can make bisi bele bath for 4 people with these ingredients.
