It's always difficult to choose what to pack for lunch. The lunch recipe should be easy and quick to make. That too, one pot meal would be easy to pack as well...So, here is the easy, wholesome lunch recipe that can be made in a very short time.
Serves 3
Ingredients:
Black Urad Dal - 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 4 cloves
Red chillies - 6
Cooked rice - for 3 people
For seasoning:
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Hing - 1 pinch
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Heat oil in a kadai, add black urad dal, cumin seeds, coconut, garlic & red chillies and saute until they turn golden brown. Allow them to cool and grind them to a coarse powder in mixie.
Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal, hing and curry leaves. When they splutter, switch off the flame. Add cooked rice and ground coarse powder; Mix well. Ulundhu sadham is ready to serve / ready to pack your lunch box.
